For over 90% of the world's makhana, the journey begins in the still ponds of Bihar. We were born here too — Purnia, the makhana capital — among the families who have grown the lotus seed for ten generations.
What started in 2018 as a single cooperative of 12 farmer families is now a network of 500+ farmer partners, a state-of-the-art processing facility, and customers in 25+ countries. We pay our farmers 30% above market — because the makhana you eat is only as good as the hands that grew it.
